The Curvy Fashionista Style Expo

Yesterday was The Curvy Fashionista Style Expo and it was a BLAST!!! I got to spend the day assisting my very good friend Francie Maupin, owner of The Diva Kurves Collection, with her vendors booth. This event as always was a big success a room packed with beautiful women who obviously love themselves sharing their skills, talents, and dreams with each other... All in the name of FASHION! There is no place I'd rather have been. Keep a look out for upcoming events on www.tcfstyleexpo.com

Here are all my pics from the event! If you see someone you know (including yourself) tag them!! đź’‹đź’‹

Swim Thick with Francie Maupin

Francie Maupin has been sketching fashions since her preteen years so it was only a matter of time before she put together a line of her own. She introduces The Diva Kurves Collection by premiering, Swim Thick, a line of swimsuits geared toward curvy women. In a market where the bar for plus sized swimwear has been dramatically raised by Monif C, Nakki Muli, and Cacique, Swim Thick is pushing its way into the mix to make sure all the curvy ladies are covered, literally. Swim Thick will cover standard sizes but will also offer options for ladies with bottom heavy proportions so that they will be able to find swimsuits that fit their curves just right. The extra focus on the ladies with extra curves definitely sets Swim Thick apart from other plus size swimwear. We dig in deeper about Miss Maupin and the release of Swim Thick: How did you start? What triggered you to start a swim line? It seemed like every time I would enter a store or boutique and ask, "where are the plus...

Approaching: Diva Kurves Takes Atlanta!!!

The Diva Kurves Collection Anniversary Pool Party This summer we get the chance to celebrate another year of fabulousity from the Diva Kurves Collection.   As one of the first plus lines to produce super sexy cutout bikinis a The Diva Kurves Aqua event is long over due!! The moment we have been waiting for, The Diva Kurves Collection Anniversary Pool Party, will be  August 27, 2016 . If you have ever been in the vicinity of Ms. Diva  Kurves then you know you don't want to miss this event. With sponsors like Corona, Goza Tequilla, and Bandelettes the VIP admission is the hottest ticket this summer, the gift bags will be to die for! Those are always my favorite part! Q With the myriad of pool parties across the nation this summer this one stands out; first because it's a celebration of growth and entrepreneurship and two it's one of the FEW major pool parties happening in ATLANTA!! You don't have to say much to get me in the water so with the add...

#LiveFashion with Stylist Jackie Turner

Fashion is built on foundation. In order to look good from the outside you have to start solid. Words of gold from Jackie Turner, an aspiring stylist out of Atlanta, fashion is her life... Turner is on a mission to become a personal stylist. Her goal is to help women who struggle with self esteem by showing them how to accent their true selves through fashion. Turner believes that when women are able to see themselves in a mirror how they see themselves in their heads, the positive visions, they can begin to accept and express who they are freely. Turner has had to over come obstacles in her own life and so her theories are from experience. Bullying and mean girls had been part of her every day struggle until she realized that she had a voice. Once she started to realize that she was in control of who she was and that she did not have to be what they told her she began to form her own personal style. Soon other people n...
