This event is a breath of fresh air to the Atlanta plus scene. The plus community here is ready to support the industry and we want more events like this to attend. The "free" tickets sold out faster then a Beyoncé concert! Make sure you get on the mailing list so you can catch the next one.

1. Splish Splash
The event was held literally on top of Atlanta. The view from the 16th floor of the W hotel in Midtown was spectacular and you could see it all while relaxing in the pool. I love water so this was right up my alley! The swimsuits that the guests wore were fun and people were actually IN the water.

2. For me!?

The giftbags were off the chain! We got jewelry from LiveLavishAccess, Band-aids J. Crew style, hair products from Dr.Miracles, and even water bottles and gold tattoos from AlwaysForMe and Eloquii!!

3. Two Piece Please

The swimsuits were great! My favorite was a two piece floral number worn by one of the models. Of course I have to mention the white two piece that would make anyone feel like a goddess especially with the red flowing cape!!

Swim Thick with Francie Maupin

Francie Maupin has been sketching fashions since her preteen years so it was only a matter of time before she put together a line of her own. She introduces The Diva Kurves Collection by premiering, Swim Thick, a line of swimsuits geared toward curvy women. In a market where the bar for plus sized swimwear has been dramatically raised by Monif C, Nakki Muli, and Cacique, Swim Thick is pushing its way into the mix to make sure all the curvy ladies are covered, literally. Swim Thick will cover standard sizes but will also offer options for ladies with bottom heavy proportions so that they will be able to find swimsuits that fit their curves just right. The extra focus on the ladies with extra curves definitely sets Swim Thick apart from other plus size swimwear. We dig in deeper about Miss Maupin and the release of Swim Thick: How did you start? What triggered you to start a swim line? It seemed like every time I would enter a store or boutique and ask, "where are the plus

#LiveFashion with Stylist Jackie Turner

Fashion is built on foundation. In order to look good from the outside you have to start solid. Words of gold from Jackie Turner, an aspiring stylist out of Atlanta, fashion is her life... Turner is on a mission to become a personal stylist. Her goal is to help women who struggle with self esteem by showing them how to accent their true selves through fashion. Turner believes that when women are able to see themselves in a mirror how they see themselves in their heads, the positive visions, they can begin to accept and express who they are freely. Turner has had to over come obstacles in her own life and so her theories are from experience. Bullying and mean girls had been part of her every day struggle until she realized that she had a voice. Once she started to realize that she was in control of who she was and that she did not have to be what they told her she began to form her own personal style. Soon other people noticed and started asking her for style advice, this i
