Fashion is built on foundation. In order to look good from the outside you have to start solid. Words of gold from Jackie Turner, an aspiring stylist out of Atlanta, fashion is her life...


Turner is on a mission to become a personal stylist. Her goal is to help women who struggle with self esteem by showing them how to accent their true selves through fashion. Turner believes that when women are able to see themselves in a mirror how they see themselves in their heads, the positive visions, they can begin to accept and express who they are freely.

Turner has had to over come obstacles in her own life and so her theories are from experience. Bullying and mean girls had been part of her every day struggle until she realized that she had a voice. Once she started to realize that she was in control of who she was and that she did not have to be what they told her she began to form her own personal style. Soon other people noticed and started asking her for style advice, this is how she knew that style could help women and essentially change lives.


Foundation is one of the topics Turner has found most women need help with the most and by foundation she means Spanx and girdles. Most importantly knowing the difference between the two and being able to tell which one you actually need. She wants you to know that these items are to give you a smooth continuing shape, not to create a new one. Turner describes her personal style as edgy and she believes that black dresses are a staple for every woman's wardrobe.


Shun Melson is one of Turner's Stylist Idols and she plans to attend one of her workshops in the very near future. Nene Leakes, Laura Govan, and Beyoncé are her Style Icons and her favorite look from Beyoncé was from "The Mrs. Carter Show" Promo.


These days Turner can be found around Atlanta assisting with shows, supporting events, and simply living her life with fashion as the filter.
