So March was the month I chose to book a trip!! I went back and forth between New Orleans, Las Vegas, and Miami. Miami just faded to the end of the line and N.O. and Vegas where in a tight competition until someone told me it would be over 100 degrees in Vegas!! Oh no. N.O. it is!!!

New Orleans is truly a magical city... Maybe its all the legends that come from the perfectly boxed streets or maybe its just from the people who never left. Places like New Orleans force you to recognize things for what they are and forget about what they are not.
I met an interesting couple on a rooftop pool... The man held some type of political office, somewhere in the north, but not New York. His wife was sweet and bubbly. During our conversation she pulled out a glass vile containing a white blunt, took two puffs and then nicely tucked it back in her purse. She was comfortable. I laughed with them and and they told me stories about how he ran his city... They made me laugh.
Breakfast is really my favorite meal and so every morning I trotted down to the Bourbon House Restaurant for crispy bacon, fluffy eggs, buttery croissants, and fresh orange juice. I was so happy... It's the simple things.
My favorite moment was creating a Mardi Gras mask at Mardi Gras World. Arts and crafts are extremely satisfying to my soul. We even got to try on costumes that matched what we created. Inside of the building they created an entire outdoor scene that made you feel like you were outside on a cool clear starry night in a park, when in actuality it was pouring rain in the middle of the day.
The oysters were amazing and so was the fried chicken on Bourbon. I had at least ten variations of oysters and all of them were tasty and most of them were delicious. How can I forget Cafe Du Monde... YUM. The food is enough to make you want to come back over and over.
The hotel was great and the beds were fluffy and comfortable. Everyone was welcome from staff to the locals. This was a great trip and I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in experiencing New Orleans. I could defintiely take my mom on this trip.
